KYOTO — Kyocera Corp announced Tuesday it will stop producing high-quality cameras under the Contax brand at the end of this year.

Kyocera made the decision as it has "failed to respond to rapid changes in the market," the Kyoto-based electronic component maker said in a press release. Kyocera will continue maintenance and repair services for up to 10 years.
